Using Masks
Stamp Set: In Symmetry
Inks: Calypso Coral & Just Jade
Accessories: Basic Rhinestone Jewels & Wink of Stella
Paper: Thick Basic White, Just Jade & Basic White
Tools: Paper Trimmer, Blending Brush, Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks & Painter’s Tape
I love using Decorative Masks to make my own background paper. It is so easy and you can tailor it to any project or color, it’s limitless! You can use just one color, like I have in this project or you can mix it up and blend several!
Let’s start with the background paper. Using painter’s tape, tape the 3-1/4 x 5″ basic white card stock to the back side of the mask. Use Calypso Coral and the blending brush to create the background paper. Carefully remove the paper from the mask and rinse the mask off right away so you don’t get ink everywhere!
I have ruined many projects by getting ink everywhere.
Cardstock Measurements:
Thick White: 4-1/4 x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
Just Jade: 4 x 5-1/4″ and 1-1/2 x 5″
Basic White: 3-3/4 x 5″, 1-1/4 x 5″ & 3×3″
Attach the background paper to the Just Jade panel.
Stamp the Greeting and small flowers to the 1-1/4″ white strip and the inside corner of the card base. Stamp the larger flower on the 3×3″ basic white paper and fussy cut out.
Adhere the greeting to the Just Jade strip, and place over (at an angle) over the background panel and trim excess.
Attach entire panel to card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the large flower with dimensionals also. Add Wink of Stella and Basic Rhinestone Jewels as shown.
I hope you enjoy masking as much as I do! Have a great week!
